句型1 Taking many elective subjects this year will be good for him in the long run.
今年选修许多选修课从长远来看对他有好处。
will 将…。表示未来的助动词。另外还有“...是(意志)”“...是(推测)”的意思。还要确认根据时间选择意思和语气的差异。
be: It is good for me. (那对我来说很好。)
be going to : It is going to be good for me. (已经有迹象表明那对我来说是好事。)
will: It will be good for me. [虽然还没有任何改变，但在未来]这对我来说是件好事。
in the long run 从长远来看。虽然现在可能不会马上有结果，但从长远来看是有好处的，可以用于表达支持自己的意见。

is likely to 有可能…。观点在未来可能性高的表达。同意表达tend to (有...的倾向，容易做...)。
lead to 导致…。这句话可以用于预测虽然不是马上，但最终会走向那里。即使想到的东西在逻辑上多少有些跳跃，在那里“如果加上“想”这样的表达，就能写出有说服力的文章。因此，lead to之后，可以处理在现在的情况下不现实的话题。

句型3 I feel lucky to have such a good friend.

such a +形容词 +名词这样的…。强调形容词+名词的时候，像such a good friend (非常好的朋友)一样使用such。如果只强调形容词，就像so good (非常好)一样，使用so。其他使用such的句法是such...that从句的形式，有“因为太...了，以至于….”的意思。
